Dumeril's boas (Acrantophis dumerili) are medium-to-large, docile, and heavily-bodied snakes from Madagascar, often considered excellent, if underappreciated, pets. Averaging 4–7 feet in length and 20 lbs, they are known for their beautiful, camouflaged brown and pinkish patterns. They are generally easy to care for but require proper humidity management, often thriving in arid to semi-arid environments.
