Danio margaritatus, commonly known as the Celestial Pearl Danio (CPD) or Galaxy Rasbora, is a small, peaceful, and vibrantly colored freshwater fish popular in nano aquariums, known for its blue-green body with golden spots and bright red fins in males. Native to Myanmar and Thailand, these tiny fish (around 1 inch) thrive in heavily planted tanks with similar-sized tank mates and require a varied diet of flakes, micro-pellets, and live foods like brine shrimp and daphnia.

- Appearance: Males have more intense colors, especially red fins, while females are stockier.
- Size: Rarely exceeds 1 inch (2.5 cm).
- Temperament: Peaceful and can be shy, but bolder in larger groups.

- Setup: Heavily planted tanks with driftwood and leaf litter are ideal to mimic their natural habitat and provide hiding spots.
- Tank Mates: Peaceful nano fish like small tetras, shrimp, guppies, and corydoras catfish. Avoid large, fast-moving fish.
