The Kuekenthali Cleaner Shrimp (Lysmata kuekenthali) is a marine invertebrate known for its bright red stripes and cleaning behavior. These shrimp are popular in reef aquariums due to their effectiveness in eating Aiptasia anemones and cleaning parasites from fish. They are generally peaceful and can be kept in groups, especially with other Lysmata species. 

Key Characteristics:

Appearance: They have a semi-transparent body with distinctive white bands and antennae, sometimes with red or orange spots and stripes. 

Behavior: They establish cleaning stations where fish come to have parasites and dead skin removed. 

Diet: They are omnivores, consuming Aiptasia anemones, detritus, leftover food, and sometimes algae. 

Reef Safe: They are generally considered reef safe, but may eat small polyps or food meant for other inhabitants if not properly fed. 

Size: They typically grow to about 2 inches (5 cm). 

Social Behavior: They are generally peaceful and can be kept in pairs or small groups.
