Seiryu stone is a highly popular, dark grey-blue to silver-grey Japanese rock used in aquascaping to create dramatic, rugged, and mountainous, particularly in Iwagumi-style setups. It features sharp, jagged textures and white, calcite veins, often deepening in color when submerged. While stunning, Seiryu stone is limestone-based and will slightly raise pH and GH levels.

Appearance: Deep silver-gray to blue-gray with sharp edges, deep fissures, and white veining.
Best For: Iwagumi, mountain, and crevice-style aquascapes due to its ability to create rugged, towering effects.
Water Parameters: It is known to increase pH and total hardness (GH). It is best for freshwater tanks with fish that prefer harder water, such as African Cichlids or, with careful monitoring, in planted tanks
