Tangerine leopard geckos are known for their intense orange coloring, which can range from a soft pastel to a fiery orange, and may even have red shades. They may have darker orange or red blotches or spots on their head or tail, but geckos with fewer spots are more expensive. Some geckos with very concentrated orange pigment are known as “Super Hyo Tangerines” and can be red/orange or red in color.
Coloration: Orange pigment in front of the tail base defines a tangerine gecko. The amount and shade of orange determines the morph, such as "tangerine", "baldy", or "hypomelanistic".
Spots and blotches: Some tangerine geckos may have darker orange or red blotches or spots on their head or tail.
Tail: Some tangerine geckos may have black spots or stripes on their tail.
