Jumping spiders are intelligent creatures that make fun, fascinating, and personable pets! They do not need a large territory, and many seem to enjoy interacting with their keepers. Caring for a pet jumping spider can be very rewarding, but as with most pets, getting the habitat set up correctly is key to having a healthy, happy spider. Zoo Med’s Jumping Spider Kit has everything you need to get started keeping your own jumping spider.
STEP 1:
Remove kit components and rinse out the habitat with water to remove any dust.
STEP 2:
Fill the bottom tray with Creatures® Soil and set any excess aside for later.
STEP 3:
Place the climbing branch and plant in the habitat.
STEP 4:
Mist substrate, plant, and walls as needed to maintain humidity and provide drinking water droplets.
STEP 5:
Read Zoo Med’s Mini Guide to Jumping Spiders (included) to learn about basic jumping spider care.
